Kwazulu Natal

Insika Foundation has a provincial office set up in Umhlanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal in order to serve the province at a local level. The operational model of Insika Foundation enables the Insika staff, Provincial Managers, Site Managers and Site Administrators to reach local communities more efficiently especially in remote, underserved areas of the province. In the implementation of Insika Foundation projects and programmes the objective is to use regional knowledge and expertise to roll-out initiatives in the most effective way working in collaboration with the community, municipality and other local structures. Synergy of communication between the Head Office in Gauteng and the Provincial office in Kwa-Zulu Natal is a key priority for Insika Foundation where an integrated network leverages both human and financial resources optimally. The Kwa-Zulu Natal office is managed by Nompumelelo Ngubane (Provincial Manager) and she is supported by ten staff members.

Flagship Projects:

1. Makhosaneni Piggery is a Flagship Project in KZN which was started in April 2019 at Okhahlamba to connect local farmers to mainstream farming operations. The objective of the project is to assist participants with, processing of agricultural products,  marketing of agricultural products, and insurance for farming businesses to mitigate risks for local farmers. Thirty-three (33) CWP beneficiaries are currently a part of this programme.

2. Zizamele bakery at Mhlabuyalingana was started in April 2019 and currently has 18 CWP participants as beneficiaries. The objective of this bakery is to uplift small business in rural and underdeveloped areas by creating employment opportunities that are sustainable in the long term.
